1. The pinout of Hirose connector is a part of this series and the post is coming up on 5th of June (this Thursday).

2. Currently you cannot use the security screws on our FireWire cameras, but we provide an alternative way to fix the FireWire connector onto the camera's backplane. 

Illustrated in the following images, The Imaging Source cameras ship with a notch around the FireWire connector. With the help of this notch and a FireWire cable with a clamp on its connector, you can connect the cable very securely to the camera. Indeed, just as securely as with screws. The connector with the clamp is manufactured by a company called Molex.
