The well-known camera control software IC Capture is now available in Chinese!

This software is designed for end users who would like to have a complete control over their cameras. Here is a list of what you can do with IC Capture:
- Set camera parameters, e.g. frame rate, exposure time, gain, white balance, etc.
- Control the focus and zoom of the lenses in The Imaging Source’s zoom cameras.
- Show the images or image sequence captured by camera and store them in format of jpg or bmp.
- Display the videos from the camera and record them into avi files (compressed/uncompressed).
- Full image and ROI.
IC Capture is shipped with all hardware manufactured by The Imaging Source, meaning that you can use it free of charge, if you buy a camera from The Imaging Source. However, you also have a chance to test the trial version by first downloading here.

Stefan Geißler, over at the IC Imaging Control blog has just announced that IC Imaging Control is fully compatible with Microsoft® Windows Vista™.
He writes:
The latest operating system from Microsoft® - Windows Vista™ - is now shipping. This week, I have received several e-mails from customers, inquiring whether IC Imaging Control runs under Vista.
I am delighted to report, that indeed, IC Imaging Control does run under Vista, without any limitations.
I tested it with Windows Vista™ 32. All parts of IC Imaging Control (C++ Class Library, ActiveX and .NET control) work just fine.
If you want to use Visual Basic 6 and IC Imaging Control 3.0 in Windows Vista™, Visual Basic 6 must be started with “Run as administrator” once. Failure to do so, will result in Visual Basic 6 returning errors when it tries to access the registry.
After this, Visual Basic 6 can be started normally.
I do not recommend using Visual Basic® 6 in Window Vista. Use Visual Studio® 2005 instead.
Visual Studio® 2003 and 2005 work without problems.
I have not tested IC Imaging Control with Windows Vista™ 64, because currently, there are no 64 bit drivers for The Imaging Source FireWire cameras. The 64 bit drivers are in development and will be released as soon as possible.
Thanks Stefan for letting us know! Keep up the good work with IC Imaging Control.
